ACS Leadership Institute Course

Thursday, June 17, afternoon, free for members, $150 non-members
Leading without Authority (4-hour facilitated course).
Leading in a volunteer organization comes with many challenges, not the least of which is having no direct authority over the volunteer members. Therefore, leaders need to be able to engage and influence members to get things done even when they may be putting up barriers or have different viewpoints. Learn practical tools to help you gain cooperation without formal authority and motivate your committee, local section, or division members to accomplish important Society goals. Important Notes: You need to enroll at the above website to participate. You do not need to be registered for CeRMACS 2010 to enroll. The material that will be covered will be presented in a general format that will allow people to use the material outside of the ACS world.
